Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Associate Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Development: Lead and develop Team Members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles.
• Store Operations: Assist the Team Leader in analyzing sales, reports, and labor, and work together to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain advanced product knowledge, staying up-to-date on new products and vendors.
• Vendor Relationships: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
• Customer Service: Foster a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale, and maintain awareness of customer flows and needs.
• Team Management: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy. Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
