This is a 12-week paid learning experience during which you'll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company. We'll give you hands-on projects and the chance to create an immediate impact.What It's LikeThe Unified Services team develops critical APIs that are leveraged by the T-Mobile.com website, our T-Life mobile app, and our customer care applications. These APIs are key to running our business and support Service Management (ex: update your account preferences, pay or view your bill) and Commerce activities (ex: buy a phone, add a subscription service like Netflix). The Unified Services development intern will work other developers, testers, solutioners (designers / analysts), and a Team Coach as part of a scrum team. What You'll DoThe Unified Services intern will be embedded with one of our scrum teams. They will create or enhance Unified Services APIs using GraphQL and Java/Springboot. The intern will partner directly with a mentor developer located in the same office (Overland Park, KS or Frisco, TX). Key Responsibilities

• Develop and unit test APIs in GraphQL and Java.
• Implement security requirements in APIs.
• Analyze and tune performance of APIs using a mock server and open telemetry tools.What It Takes
  • Experience using Java.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Eager to learn.
  • Willingness to work and partner with a team.
  • Preferred: Exposure to API development, GraphQL, and security concepts.Minimum Qualifications
    • At least 18 years of age
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
    • Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
    • Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for InternshipsEmployer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour.
