Job Description:

Licensed Substance abuse counselor sought for position in a fast paced environment. Must have proven experience working with clients in an individual and group setting. Monday-Friday. Major pluses include; SASSI trained, University of Cincinnati trained, Thinking for a Change trained, experience working with clients involved in the legal system and those who are also not involved in the legal system. Pay will be based off experience.QualificationsMust hold the Kansas certifications for addiction counseling, including an LAC,Knowledge of group and individual settings and dynamics,Understanding of mental health disorders requiring referrals,Communication skills to exchange information and interact with various internal and external professionals regarding client care,Active listening skills and social perceptiveness,Ability to read and interpret policies and instructions,Ability to understand side effects and impact of drug/alcohol use on client,Adaptability / flexibility,Ability to shift priorities,Ability to monitor and interact with clients in a professional manner,
